We are looking for a Human Resources Consultant (Diegem)


In this exciting role you provide leadership on all HR Systems and assist in developing and implementing HR Strategies/People Initiatives that drive business results. You act as an HR Generalist and an expert counsel on HR systems, labor law and strategies to key customers (Owner/Operators, restaurants management teams and head office staff). You report to the HR & Training Dept. Director.



Participates in the development of HR strategies/HR plans
Drives innovation, change, and implementation of people practices that improve business results
Partners with HR & Training Dept. Director to anticipate and identify future people-related issues to ensure the people strategies (e.g., staffing, retention, performance management, succession planning, diversity, reward and recognition, change management) are consistent with the current and future needs of the business
Apply HRM knowledge & skills to effectively drive business results

HR System implementation
Provides input to develop and support initiatives related to staffing, retention, B&C, diversity, organizational development, people/leadership development, performance management, change management and tactics designed to support the Company strategy.
Counsels and advises key customers regarding HR programs such as Recruitment Program, Social legislation, Performance Development System, Rewards and Recognition systems, Respectful workplace policies, Engagement Surveys.
Advises Operations department on restaurant audits to ensure compliance with social law and people practices (people minimums/standards)
Provides advise, coaching and consultation to key customers in resolving complex HR problems, including disciplinary counseling, legal issues and terminations.
Monitors, audits and reduction of employment related costs. Implement and follow new government employment plans.

Communication & Training
Manages employee engagement platform
Labor relations (social elections) and employee communication
Provides training and development for key customers on HR policies, practices and systems.

Partners with Training team and Operations department on needs analysis, curriculum design and delivery.
Conducts orientations and benefit presentations for new hires

Recruitment and retention
Has a clear understanding of current and future business staffing needs
Advises on best recruitment and retention practices
Participates actively in initiatives to attract high-quality talents
Employer image building through partnerships and networking
Tracks & analyzes all data relevant for turnover, staffing, demographics, …
Designs, implements, and informs key customers on innovative compensation and reward strategies

Coordination and Administration
Coordinates the administration of the employee Opinion Survey process. Partners with key customers to interpret survey results, facilitates feedback, and coach then in the action planning process.
Anticipates, identifies, and assists in the investigation and resolution of legal cases and crisis management situations (third party interventions, health and safety issues, etc.). Maintains the Employee Management System including monthly payroll, updating of Employee records,
Manages all benefits program
Maintains employee files and performs other administrative duties as needed

Klant beschrijving

Bachelor or Master's degree in HR - or equivalent experience and knowledge - with a passion for HR
Strong skills/knowledge in interpretation and implementation of (HORECA) labor law
Languages: Tri-lingual (French-Dutch-English)
Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel = advanced level)
3 to 5 years experience as a HR Generalist
Excellent communication (clear verbal and written communication to all levels of both internal and external personnel) and presentation skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills - detail oriented
